Jim's Biography

I can say that without a doubt that this band is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. We have a "magic chemistry" which can not be copied. I think the music which we have created (with and without the influence of alcohol) is some of the best out there. The coolest thing is that we can play Neil Diamond and turn around and play some old Led Zepplin. The guys let me play my style, that is big because I can't remember how I played the same song last time. None of us really read music because most of us are self taught. It makes learning songs really interesting.

One thing that I have to say in this bio is that without my wife Anne, I would not be able to play worth a darn. (Scott, hold your comment!) It is because of her and the kids making a ton of sacrafices (home with sitters and loading/unloading equipment when all you want to do is sleep) that I can enjoy this fantastic run we are having and not worry about all the time away from them.

The other thing I want to say is that I really enjoy all the people that come out and make our shows successful. I can tell you that it is so cool to see all the women with our EP thongs on, dancing and having a blast helping us with "Low Rider" and "Last Call". We are trying new things all of the time to make our shows interesting. I think our best attribute is that we sound good live. Our vocals are amazing and the music flows leaving you with a sense that we have been doing this together for many years. It all started about 4 years ago with Scott and I at a ball tournament with the wives. He was playing his 12 string (which is way cool anyways) and I was on the cooler (yes, an ordinary beer cooler, see the misc. pictures from Florida). We played until 1am. for the whole (I mean hole) hotel.

I had never done that and I was blown away. I went to practice the next Monday and knew I was in the band after we played "Sunshine of your life" by Cream. It really was magic and we have grown a lot together since that night!!

My favorite memories so far are (in no peticular order) playing the bond fires every year down state, a packed house at Northern almost every time we play there, being on Mitch Albums radio show and of course the Wheelzstock. You can tell by our pictures that we all get along very well and love each other like brothers. We have many, many, great people that support us and want to see us succeed.

I hope that everyone's life could be as good as mine right now!! I have no complaints and as long as people are still dancing and partying with us........how could I ? Peace out and God bless!!
