Jim's Biography

Music in general, has played a huge part in my life. I started as a trombone player and found that chicks did not dig trombone players. I asked my dad for drums (my first set was a JC Penney set from the catalog) and taught myself how to play to my Queen and Rush albums in the basement when my dad wasn't home. I bought my current set (Tama Rockstars) in 1989 with the money I got from my Dad's pension. He always believed in me in anything that I tried so I play for him most nights. Two years ago my life changed for the better in so many ways but the two that stand out, is my life with Anne and joining Empty Pockets!! This group of friends is devoted to bringing out the best in each other and playing music from our hearts....... It is awesome to be a part of this!

I am 6'3" and weigh a ton
I play softball, soccer, volleyball, golf and hoops
I love to watch the wives play softball and volleyball

Favorites:
All our kids. Our friends that we've had and the ones we've just met, people watching, Sportscenter, sleeping in, a good steak, (food in general if you know me!), Bang the Drum Slowly, Me Myself and Irene, fishing, and vacations somewhere warm!!!

I have to give a huge shout out to Anne and all the wives and kids for putting up with the long hours, loading and unloading equipment a thousand times, being with a sitter on gig nights and all the other inconveniences we put you guys through. I love you all and can't thank you enough for letting us follow our dreams!!!!
